I rarely use my personal Laptop these days. Recently in one of the dull weekends, I thought to give my old laptop which was running Ubuntu 18.10 a new life. Installing Mx linux was a breeze and it is too light on the hardware, runs on xfce it looks pretty gorgeous as well. Back in those days we spend hours and hours to get the conky set up and running, but not anymore. Mx comes with conky bundled and you will be amazed to see the out of the box set up.
The first thing I usually do after installing the new OS, IRC FTW!
Overall Mx looks a rock solid linux where the default apps are chosen prudently.
Connecting to my home lan was a breeze also detected my Google mini speaker without any issues. Overall I am happy and likely to stay with Mx for some time in future.
Since installation most of the time I have spent web surfing, running some C programs on Visual Studio, IRC, playing Lbreakout2, editing my rx100 photos with Darktable. Darktable performance is really good, the fact that the OS takes very minimal hardware capacity it leaves enough capacity for the heavy apps to run smoothly.
